A Guide to Faculty Governance

This information is focused on the Faculty as a collective body responsible for academic programs and as a body with its own governing procedures. The Provost's Office is responsible for maintaining this Guide.  The University Faculty Council's Handbook Subcommittee works with the Provost to see that the Guide is accurate and reflects current practice.  Changes to this Guide may be proposed as recommendations to the Provost by vote of the appropriate faculty body.  Information linked to web pages in other units, e.g. school committees, is maintained by those units and the Provost's Office should be notified of any changes therein.
